These pictures were taken in 70 degree weather in our backyard about a week and half ago. That night brought freezing rain and below freezing weather. It also brought lightening to the transformer in our back yard frying our alarm system panal, our phone line, and modem. The electricity went off four more times throughout the next 3 days. I felt like I was in Africa again. Finally they replaced the transformer and we have had no trouble except getting everything fixed or replaced that was affected by the lightening.
Thank you, God, for our warm fireplace which kept us warm when the electricity was off.
We didn't get enough snow to really play in it. As you can see, the TXU men worked hard. It amazes me how they can stay on the poles. The first time they came out was around 1:00 in the morning in the freezing rain!!! Wes went out and offered to make them some coffee and we realized later that "DAH!" we have no electricity to make the coffee.
